Nissan GTR upgraded for 2015 South Africa

New handling, interior and exterior improvements for the 2015 Nissan GTR have a common aim of improving the car’s driving experience. Part of this hallowed experience is a 0-100km/h time of 2.9 seconds and top speed of 315km/h.

The 2015 Nissan GT-R places a greater priority on comfort with Nissan saying the suspension setup is ‘more mature.’ It retains the double wishbones in front and multilink system at the rear but Nissan claim they’ve made strides in comfort, handling and stability.

If you’ve ever driven a Nissan GT-R you’ll recall the drivetrain harshness – pure race car stuff –sent from the 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 (397kW and 628Nm) to the ATTESA all-wheel drive system.  While we liked how raw and visceral it was, it made the GT-R too unrefined for many. Nissan believe they’ve broadened its appeal by reducing NVH levels to every component and added quieter, yet more powerful, brakes.

“What is most important to note is that the price increase on 2015 Nissan GT-R derivatives has been capped at a mere 1%,” comments Konstantin von Vieregge, General Manager Product Planning at Nissan South Africa. “This means a minimal increase of just R15 000 to all models, offering the 2015 modifications at exceptional value.”
