Nissan is renowned for pushing the design envelope at Le Mans. Remember the Delta Wing? This year they’re competing in the top-tier LMP1 category with a design that’s equally groundbreaking. Nissan think they’ve discovered a loophole in the rules regarding the aerodynamics and believe this configuration will give them the edge. Bad news is they’ve missed out on lots of testing where Porsche and Audi have looked even stronger.
