A void of twenty five years between the first generation Mazda MX-5 and the 2015 Mazda MX-5. For many of those years Mazda sat around underachieving but now they are determined to prove that the new one is comparably better. For that they need a ractetrack and two drivers of hopefully equal talent, although one seems more on the ragged edge. The old car gets a four second head start which would equate to about 0.17s improvement per year… Not the hardest job, but we won’t spoil the ending.
