Felisa reportedly steps down as Ferrari CEO

Ferrari-CEO-Amedeo-Felisa-promises-more-investment-in-research-and-development

According to reports in the Italian press this week, CEO of Ferrari Amedeo Felisa has resigned after serving fifteen years at the Maranello outfit. Felisa remains good friends with former president Luca di Montezemolo and his controversial ousting in October 2014 may have influenced the decision

With a background in mechanical engineering, Felisa joined Alfa Romeo in 1972 before becoming the head of product development in 1987. Three years on and he would join Ferrari and in 2001 became the manager of the Gran Turismo division. Climbing up the ranks Felisa was promoted to general manager of Ferrari in 2006 before becoming Chief Executive in 2008, taking over from Jean Todt.

Understandably Ferrari will not confirm or deny these rumours on Felisa’s position within the company, wary that any untimely announcement could potentially cause a few hiccups to the management strategy.
