It turns out that the blurry spyshots of a Lancia Stratos that surfaced on the Internet last week, do in fact depict a new version of the iconic rally car. The Stratos recreation will be built by Brose KG and its CEO Michael Stoschek. Only one of the cars will ever exist though, so as good as it looks, don’t get you hopes up just yet!
Rumours still suggest that Pininfarina are developing a new Lancia Stratos based on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia chassis. The Scuderia’s 4.3-litre V8 engine would be a perfect fit and provide serious excitement with around 375 kW on tap.
Details are still scarce, with the latest information being the series of photos below. Further rumours suggest the car may be displayed at this year’s Paris Motor Show, starting at the end of September. We will keep you posted as more news becomes available.
