It’s safe to say the Porsche 911 hasn’t changed much in the styling department over the years. Park every 911 Carrera since 1974 side-by-side and the changes are evident, but its clearly been an evolution of the famed sports car through the decades. Still, there may be some owners of previous generation 911′s that are worried they’re getting out paced by the Jones’, but don’t necessarily want to fork out for the latest Carrera model.
Well, to cater for this eventuality, German-based company Prior Design, has developed a conversion kit to turn Porsche Carrera 911 (996) models into Carrera 911 (997) look-a-likes.
The kit, which the company calls ‘PD3′, includes a new front bumper with the larger air intakes and small spoiler lip common to the Carrera 997. The PD3 package also includes new side skirts, plus a new rear bumper with integrated quad-exhaust tailpipes. The suspension is lowered by 30 mm and a new set of Prior Design rims are also included.
