Lexus has released the first details about the 2012 IS-F. Designed to be more dynamic than ever before, the model adopts a retuned suspension with new shock absorbers, revised spring rates and larger stabiliser bars. Despite the emphasis on improved handling, Lexus contends the model is still a comfortable long-distance cruiser.
The 5.0-litre V8 engine is carried over into the 2012 Lexus IS-F, and continues to produce 311 kW of power and 505 Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends all that power to the rear wheels, which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 270 km/h.
European pricing of the 2012 Lexus IS-F remains unchanged from the 2011 model and two new options are available: 19-inch BBS wheels and two-tone leather sport seats.
