2011 Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition

Aston Martin has revealed details of a new special edition, called the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition, at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new model will be based on the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black model, but will be available in just three different colours.

The 2011 Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition will be available in two new colors including Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey together with the current Carbon Black. Each unit will go through a unique paint process and will receive seven layers of paint together with a 25 hour hand flat-and-polish finish resulting in a glass veneer. Buyers will also have the option of a satin lacquer paint finish, creating a silk-like texture.

The 2011 Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition will come with 10-spoke gloss black diamond wheels with a reversed diamond turned or full gloss black finish as an option and black brake calipers (optional colors include yellow, orange, red or gray). The DBS Carbon Edition also features a black grille, carbon fiber mirror heads, carbon rear lamp in-fills and smoked rear lights creating a DBS specification like never before.

Inside, the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition gets a special dashboard with carbon fibre details, as well as magnesium paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and silver highlights throughout.

Under the bonnet lies the same Aston Martin DBS 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 380 kW of power and 569 Nm of torque, matched up to either a six-speed manual or six-speed Touchtronic automatic transmission.

The special Aston Martin DBS Carbon Editions will go on sale next year, with international prices starting at £186 582 for the coupe and £196 581 for the Volante convertible.
