The latest development from Siegen based tuning company B&B is a complete technical package for the current Audi RS3. With engine power boosted to 380 kW and 680 Nm of torque in its highest state of tune, the B&B Audi RS3 is capable of achieving supercar levels of performance: 0 – 100km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.
B&B’s first stage of tune, ‘Stage 1′, consists of a change in the electronics and a slight increase in turbo boost pressure, to raise the power of the 5-cylinder 2.5-litre TFSI engine to 305 kW and 560 Nm.
‘Stage 2′ releases slightly more power, with 317 kW and 580 Nm, achieved through improved air induction and charge-air cooling, along with a further 0.25 bar of boost pressure.
The third level, Stage 3, builds on the modifications done in Stage 2, including a sport exhaust system to decrease the exhaust back pressure and exhaust temperature. Furthermore, a special charge air cooling system is installed. This results in a higher power output while reducing the thermal load on the engine and the exhaust gas turbocharger. Power is boosted to 335 kW and 600 Nm of torque.
The final stage, Stage 4, sees the BB engineers add a larger turbocharger, a race-spec exhaust system, a high pressure fuel pump, a sports clutch and adjustments to the engine management software. The final figures are the 380 kW and 680 Nm of torque we mention previously.
B&B also offer buyers the choice of either a four- or six-piston high performance brake system and 19- or 20-inch wheels. The B&B Audi RS3 benefits from a 20 mm lower ride height and coilover adjustable sports suspension.
