Bentley have embarked on a video series campaign entitled ‘Bentley Mulsanne Visionaries’. The series of short films focuses on innovators and futurists who offer their insights as to how technology will shape the world we live in.
The Visionaries video we’re most interested in, however, is the one you see below, featuring Andy Green. As the holder of the world land speed record, at 763 mph or 1 227 km/h, Green says “Speed is the simplest way of measuring performance”. It would appear that Bentley agree, as they shipped Green and their flagship Mulsanne, off to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, to drive home the point. Take a look at the video below, wherein Andy Green explains the significance of speed in society’s future.
Why didn’t they run with the Continental GT Speed you might ask. Well, the Mulsanne is the flagship limousine from Bentley and as such, it offers the highest blend of luxury and performance in the Bentley stable. With a 6.75-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 engine, it has 377 kW and 1 020 Nm of torque available, which is good enough for a 296 km/h top speed.
