Honda is planning to reveal a new ‘Urban SUV Concept’ at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in January and have released a single teaser image.
Honda aren’t giving much away, saying only that the Urban SUV Concept is, “a global concept model combining a sporty and dynamic SUV profile with a spacious, functional interior.” That’s a little vague, but the silhouette image suggests a coupe-like body shape with large wheel arches and fenders, linked by a strong character line. Wrap around head- and tail-light units are also evident.
When the Urban SUV Concept enters production form, which should be close to 2015, it’s likely to share the same platform as the upcoming 2013 Honda Jazz. Also stemming from the platform of the next-generation Jazz will be the possibility of a compact sedan.
