Video: Audi S3 Sedan Unveiled

It seems we’re just waiting for BMW to announce a 1 Series sedan now, following the launch of the Mercedes-Benz CLA and now this Audi A3 sedan. The Ingolstadt-based manufacturer has given us the first look at the S3 Sedan, which will make its official debut at the Shanghai Auto Show later this month.

The interior design and equipment will be carried over from the its A3 Sportback and Hatchback siblings, which includes items like 18-inch alloys, 340 mm front brake discs, electrically assisted power steering, Audi Drive Select vehicle dynamics system, as well as an optional magnetic ride damper control system.

The engine line-up will be familiar too, but what we’re looking at in this video is the 2.0T FSI-powered S3. The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is good for 221 kW and 380 Nm of torque and, when equipped with the S tronic transmission, the S3 sedan accelerates from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. The manual version of the S3 sedan has the same top speed, but is slightly slower to 100 km/h, taking 5.3 seconds.
