Remember when Michael Schumacher went to Top Gear in 2009 and lapped Dunsfold in a black FXX pretending to be the Stig? Well, that ballistic race car and Michael Schumacher’s own Ferrari Enzo are up for sale at Switzerland supercar dealer, Garage Zénith, in Lausanne
The official Ferrari and Maserati dealer has seen a few rare Ferrari Enzo supercars pass through its doors in the past but these two exotics previously owned by the former seven-time F1 world champion must surely be the rarest of the lot.
This isn’t a case hearsay when it comes to the authenticity of the FXX and Enzo, both cars come with a number of personal touches like Schumey’s initials dotted around their interiors with MS logos on the sills and headrests. The Enzo also has a number of famous signatures under the bonnet, including that of Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo. The Enzo is finished in Ferrari Red with a tan leather interior.
The Ferrari Enzo has covered 8 500 km, quite a lot for an Enzo we think, proving that Michael Schumacher loved taking it out for a blast on the weekends. As for the track only Ferrari FXX, however, that has only covered 900 km but be in no doubt all of those were done at full throttle.
Michael Schumacher’s FXX is one of only 30 ever made and is the only black example of the Enzo-based experimental supercar. It is also the very last FXX, presented to Michael as a gift from Ferrari when he retired from F1 for the first time in 2006. The Ferrari Enzo will set you back approximately $1.4 million (R14 million) while the FXX will cost you close to $2.6 million (R26 million).
