2013 Range Rover By Mansory: Restyled And Retuned

The aftermarket customisations for the all-new Range Rover are starting to emerge, as this latest effort by Mansory proves. British firm Arden were the one of the first with their Range Rover AR9, but as if Land Rover themselves hadn’t shaved enough weight from the new generation Rangey, Mansory have given it a thorough carbon fibre overhaul.

The luxury four-wheel drive has been given a new bodykit that includes a sportier carbon fibre front bumper with larger air intakes, LED daytime running lights and an aerodynamic splitter. A vented carbon fibre bonnet saves further weight up front and provides better cooling for the engine, while the radiator grille is also a carbon fibre item.

Mansory has widened the Range Rover by 60 mm with its flared wheel arches, which are linked by deeper side skirts. A vented rear bumper with diffuser, as well as a roof spoiler, complete the perimeter modifications. Other carbon fibre details include a spoiler lip below the rear window, carbon cladding on the D-pillar, side mirrors and front fender gills. The larger wheel arches have made way for a massive set of hoops: Mansory’s diamond polished 22-inch alloys, fitted with 305/35 profile rubber.

Mansory also provide performance upgrades to accompany their Range Rover’s more aggressive looks. The tuner is offering a 51 kW and 70 Nm boost to the 4.4-litre V8′s output, for a total of 301 kW and 770 Nm. These figures give it slightly more power than the impressive tri-turbocharged BMW X5 M50d, which has 280 kW and 740 Nm. Mansory, however, say they are not stopping there and are developing a more powerful 477 kW and 800 Nm performance upgrade for the 2013 Range Rover.

As always, the tuner will customise the interior to suit the most demanding of requests, with an array of trim choices ranging from carbon, wood and piano lacquer, through to Alcantara and more leather. Decorative stitching and piping can also be added throughout the leather clad cabin, with floor mats to match. We’d definitely get rid of the marble effect interior shown here, but what do you think?
