Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has announced an update to the ever popular Fortuner, in the form of the Fortuner LTD Edition.
The Toyota Fortuner Ltd Edition is available with all 3.0-litre D-4D and 4.0-litre V6 engined models, upping the SUV’s rugged appearance with a number of exclusive add-ons. The list of value-add items includes stainless steel side steps and nudge bar, smokey grey 17-inch alloys, chrome side mirror housings, a matt black tow bar, LTD Edition badging and interior floor mats with embroidered LTD Edition logo.
The Fortuner already holds the top spot in S.A.’s SUV sales charts and is well equipped as standard, with highlights including: full leather upholstery, stability control (VSC), touch screen audio with reverse monitor, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, auto headlights and iPod connectivity.
Toyota is sure the new features will add a certain individuality to their Fortuner, which both new and existing buyers will appreciate. On the other hand, with so many on our roads, we find it hard to believe Fortuner owners would even care. This doesn’t mean that they don’t know added value when they see it, however, which gives the LTD Edition its edge over the standard range.
Kerry Roodt, General Manager of Marketing Communications says, “For just a small premium over the standard model, customers get features that would cost a whole lot more if individually fitted to the vehicle as extra cost options. I am sure this will be of interest to many new and existing Fortuner customers.”
The LTD Edition will be produced for just 3 months between now and September 2013 at the company’s production plant in Durban, with prices starting from R434 700 for the 3.0 D-4D LTD Edition and ending at R511 700 for the Fortuner 4.0 D-4D A/T 4×4 LTD Edition.
