Video: Sébastien Loeb Promotes Citroën C-Elysée WTCC

Citroën is to enter the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in 2014 with at least two cars, one of which is to be driven by the Sébastien Loeb, 9-times World Rally Champion and the new Pikes Peak record holder.

The race car is based on the new Citroen C-Elysée compact sedan and is powered by the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine found in Citroën’s DS3 WRC car. Power is close to 280 kW and is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox and self-locking differential. 18-inch wheels, 4-piston brake calipers and a minimum weight of 1 100 kilograms mean the C-Elysée promises much performance, not forgetting the masses of downforce on offer from the aerodynamics.
