Volkswagen South Africa have announced the introduction of the R-Line range of accessories for the Volkswagen CC and Passat models.
The R-Line package has long been available in European markets where the styling add-ons are produced by a team of over 350 staff at Volkswagen’s R GmbH division near Wolfsburg, Germany.
The Volkswagen Passat and CC R-line models join the Touareg R-line, which was the first model in S.A. to be offered with the sports package in 2012. The styling kit includes a redesigned front bumper complete with vertical chrome bars painted in gleaming black and bottom radiator grille. Restyled side skirts, ‘Mallory’ design 18-inch alloy wheels and a further chrome element integrated into the cover above the fog lights and grille-mounted R-Line logo complete the exterior package for the Volkswagen CC R-Line.
The CC R-Line’s interior benefits from unique door tread plates, a leather sports steering wheel with multifunction controls and R-Line logo on the centre spoke.
For the Volkswagen Passat, the R-Line package adds new front and rear bumpers, which include a larger air intake in front and integrated fog lights. Once again, an R-Line logo can be found on the radiator grille, while the rear bumper incorporates a diffuser and the boot lid features a discreat spoiler lip. New side skirts visually link the same ‘Mallory’ design alloy wheels as on the CC, although in smaller 17-inch diameter.
The R-Line Package adds R12 250 to the price of the Volkswagen CC 2.0 TDI and R10 200 to the CC 2.0 TSI and 3.6 FSI V6 models, as well as any of the Passat models.
