It’s common knowledge that the Nissan R35 GT-R is one of the quickest production cars on the planet, whether around a track or in a straight line. Every year it receives tweaks to the engine and chassis to keep it at the top of its game, where it routinely out performs far more flash and pricey names. So it may come as a surprise to see a it lined up against the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. The Cabrio is 0.1 seconds slower to 100 km/h and weighs 70 kg more that the 911 Turbo coupe. It isn’t even the higher-powered Turbo S model, which boasts another 29 kW and 90 Nm of torque. What’s the point you might ask? The results, however, might surprise.
