Jaguar has confirmed it will build the F-Type Project 7, a production version of the single-seater Project 7 concept that was show at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Inspired by the Jaguar D-Type racing car, the new F-Type Project 7 will make its debut at the 2014 Goodwood event, following which just 250 units will go on-sale.
The hand-built roadster will feature Jaguars 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 423 kW and 680 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h is 3.9 seconds and “bespoke carbon-fibre aerodynamic aids” help the car reach an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h.
The F-Type Project 7 benefits from a unique suspension tune, carbon ceramic brakes, race-inspired seats and, in case you were wondering, a storable roof. First customer deliveries will begin from mid-2015 say Jag.
