Nissan NP200 Stealth Edition arrives in South Africa

We can’t explain why but the affable sub one-tonne pickup market has lost many players. Good news for the Nissan NP200. Produced out of the Rosslyn plant since 2008, the NP200’s 800kg payload has made it a trusted choice for commercial or leisure activities.  Sales of the Nissan NP200 remain strong with 17 412 units sold in 2014 and for this year a special edition Stealth Package adds factory-approved styling cues to an unbreakable package.

The dark theme is carried out by dark grey paint, darkened nudge bar, tonneau cover, tinted windows and black alloy wheels. Daytime running lights are a first for the segment. Inside things are a lot lighter with a titanium-coloured and contrasting seat material with entertainment supplied by USB connectivity and Alpine sound system. Central locking is included.

“Last year’s Nissan NP200 Loaded Special Edition was a big success, but for 2015 we challenged our design and engineering team to push the boundaries. The result is the NP200 Stealth, a pickup that we believe will be even more successful, especially because it represents significant value and the quality of factory fitment,” says Konstantin von Vieregge, General Manager for Marketing and Planning at Nissan South Africa.

The R169 000 price tag includes Nissan’s 6 year / 150 000 km warranty and is available across Nissan South Africa’s 120-strong national dealer network.
