Video: Mazda 767B crashes at Goodwood
You can always expect accidents at Goodwood but this particular one really stings. To have survived the world’s most intesne endurance races and then to understeer into some haybales at Goodwood Festival is an ignominious end to perhaps Mazda’s most iconic racer – certainly the loudest. And to add to Mazda’s misery the Japanese company had launched a 40-metre banner into the sky as part of their marketing campaign, celebrating their rotary roots. We’re sure the Mazda 767B will be rebuilt but the driver might never return to action.
