Perhaps not the last time we’ll hear about Nissan’s ambitious (but rubbish) LMP1 contender as the marketing team scramble out another video that tries desperately to put back the pieces of a shattered Le Mans effort. All three cars retired with no more than 250 laps to either car’s name and were woefully off the pace of the Porsches, Audis and Toyotas. From the outset we didn’t believe it would work and that Garage 56 was better suited to their purpose. Now let’s all feel sorry for Nissan and believe tell ourselves that by 2016, they’ll be challenging the Porsches.
