Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series

Posted on 15 November 2010 by Scott

Mercedes-Benz reserves the ‘Black Series’ badge only for the most extreme versions of its production cars and, according to recent rumors, the Mercedes C63 AMG will soon be bestowed with just such a title. Recent spy photographers managed to catch a mysterious prototype on film, which could be the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series. If indeed it is, the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series will have wider wheel arches, and improved aerodynamics.

Judging from previous versions that wear this name, the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series will definitely have an increased output from its 6.2-litre V8. The exact output of the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series is not known yet, but it should get more than the 382 kW of the DR520 special edition. This in turn means the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series has the potential to achieve a sub-4 second 0 to 100 km/h sprint, placing it in supercar territory.

We’ll have more details on the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series when, or if, they become available.
