Mercedes has just released an official set of photos of their new C-Class Coupé. It appears the spirit of the Mercedes CLK is certainly back.
The C-class Coupé is 41 mm lower than the C-Class sedan and, in our eyes, looks rather attractive all round. The C-Class Coupé gallery shows off an expectedly elegant car, but we’ll have to wait for the Geneva Motor Show to find out full specifications.
Internationally, the C-Class Coupé will be offered with a range of BlueEfficiency diesel and petrol engine options, ranging from the 115kW C 180 petrol and the 95kW C 220 CDI diesel, to the range-topping 225kW C 350 petrol model. Fuel consumption for the ultra-efficient C 220 CDI, equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and start/stop technology, is listed at 4.4 l/100km.
Dr Joachim Schmidt, head of sales and marketing, says “The new model is youthful, stylish and dynamic. What we are offering is an exceptionally sporty way to enter the world of the Mercedes-Benz coupé”. Schmidt continued, “By extending the C-class portfolio, we are consciously targeting new customers.”
