This is the Sportec SP 800 R, based on the Porsche GT2 RS.
Aerodynamic touches are subtle, with Sportec having fitted the fastest production 911 ever with just new front and rear spoilers – all in carbon fibre, of course. Beneath the rear hatch lies a 3.6-litre flat-six that now delivers 588 kW and 900 Nm of torque, compared with the standard GT2 RS’s 462 kW. The increased power is provided by a new hybrid turbocharger, sport camshaft, sport intercoolers, new connecting rods, sport air filter, and an ECU-remap. Also helping with output is the new titanium sport exhaust.
All told, the extra power is good for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 3.1 seconds while top speed is a more-than-breezy 373 km/h – substantial increases over the production model’s 3.5 second run and 330 km/h top speed.
Sportec has replaced the standard 19-inch tyres with their own ‘Mono/7′ 20-inch, centre-locking, alloy wheels, fitted with sticky Cup tyres in sizes 245/30 R20 and 315/25 R20, front and back, respectively. The SP 800 R gets a suspension lowering of 25 mm for increased downforce too.
