Audi recently gave an old looker a bit of a makeover. We are of curse talking about the A5 that was described by its designer, Walter de’Silva, as being his best work. The refresh Audi came up with ads new headlights with LED technology, a hexagonal grille, as well as replacing the S5′s 4.2-litre V8 with the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 found in the S4 sedan and S5 Cabriolet.
German tuner ABT Sportsline could not miss the opportunity to follow suit and, following Audi, has updated their AS5 package, (see the previous AS5 Sportback here), with both exterior and mechanical enhancements.
The ABT AS5 boasts a new front bumper, revised side skirts, ventilated fenders, a rear diffuser and a boot-mounted spoiler. Optional add-ons include coilover suspension, high-performance brakes, a sports exhaust system and 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels. The Audi A5’s 2.0-litre TFSI engine can be tuned to push out 200 kW, while the 3.0-litre TDI, on the other hand, can be upgraded to develop 220 kW.
