According to British magazine ‘What Car?’, Bentley designers have already gone back to the drawing board on their EXP 9 F SUV after a less than stellar welcome at the Geneva Motor Show last week.
The long-coming SUV concept represented a departure from the brand’s classic style, wearing a suit of complex lines both new and drawn from its existing model line-up. According to anonymous sources within the Volkswagen-owned manufacturer’s ranks, the big SUV concept did not go over quite as well as hoped, with the EXP 9 F’s styling being described as “a little heavy-handed.”
A business case exists for the car, however, as there can be no doubt profits are to be had from a luxurious Bentley SUV. What Car?’s source has thus reportedly confirmed that Bentley’s designers are already working on smoothing out the concept ahead of a return to the motor-show circuit.
The report claims that the revised concept will get smaller headlights, set closer together for a less bulky appearance. The roulette-style wheels and carved profile could also be considered for revision, but we’ll have to wait and see.
