Fans of Porsche’s more focused 911 GT3 will no doubt be waiting with bated breath for news of the latest 991 GT3 model. The car is only expected to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September for an on-sale date in early 2013, but spy shots of the new car have been snapped in previous months and now its the turn of the graphic design boffins to give their take on what we could expect the next Porsche 911 GT3 to look like.
Very little is known about the new Porsche 911 (991) GT3 so these renders are purely speculative. We do know that the 911 GT3 is typically characterised by a fixed rear wing, two centrally mounted exhausts pipes, as well as air vents at the front edge of the bonnet.
The familiar 3.8-litre boxer engine will offer around 346 kW. The new car is also expected to weigh around 40 kg less than the 997 GT3 thanks to lighter interior materials, wheels and body panels. Porsche will reportedly not offer a PDK gearbox with the 911 GT3, manual will be the only option.
