Jaguar F-Type To Receive V8 Muscle

According to US-based Insideline.com, the upcoming Jaguar F-Type will get a 5.0-litre V8 engine producing up to 399 kW. It’s presumed the 5.0-litre V8 in question will be sourced from the XFR and incorporates supercharging technology.

The 3.0-litre V6 unit that will also be employed in the upcoming F-Type was announced at the Beijing Motor Show last week and will be available at two power levels: 279 kW and 250 kW with 450 Nm.

The new F-Type was introduced at the New York Motor Show a few weeks ago. The sports car will be production ready in mid-2013 and is based on the C-X16 Concept released at the IAA Motor Show in September of 2011.
