Five Customised Ford Focus STs For SEMA

Ford will be showing off five customised Focus STs at this year’s 2012 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas, ranging from relatively mild to in-your-face styling.

Ford Focus ST by Cosworth

The first custom ST is the result of a partnership between Ford, M & J, Cosworth LLC and Ford Racing. Together they have increased the power of the 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine to 246 kW from the standard 184 kW, as well as boosted torque from 360 Nm to around 430 Nm. Styling tweaks include carbon fibre accents, a ventilated bonnet, Cosworth designed wheels, a larger rear wing, as well as sports suspension.

Ford Focus ST by Bernal Auto Style

Next up is the Focus ST by Bernal Auto Style with striking two-tone black and orange paintwork. The bonnet and roof have been given a carbon fibre look. A simply bodykit and coilover suspension give the Bernal ST a lower stance. There’s no word of performance for this car, but a high performance brake system has been fitted and the EcoBoost graphic splurged on the side of the car means it’s likely to have been tweaked somewhat.

Ford Focus ST by Tanner Foust Racing

Tanner Foust – Top Gear USA presenter, X-Games gold medallist, racer and owner of Tanner Foust Racing – has also got in on the action and kitted out the ST with a new bodykit, fully adjustable front and rear suspension, a new air intake and exhaust system, as well as a new set of wheels and tyres.

Ford Focus ST by Galpin Racing

Galpin Racing has done something a little different by opting for a rally-style look. A roof scoop, large rear wing, O.Z. wheels synonymous with the rally scene set it apart, while coil-over springs, bigger brakes and methanol injection ensure more than adequate performance.

Ford Focus ST by Steeda

Finally, the Focus ST created by Steeda rolls on 19-inch alloy wheels and G-Trac suspension. Steeda doesn’t mention engine modifications, but we’re pretty sure it has upped the output to match the car’s looks and the ability to exercise its Brembo brakes.

The new Ford Focus ST is the brand’s first global performance vehicle, meaning its specification is identical in each market that it’s sold in. Read our first impressions of the new car.
