Vath V63 Black Series

Almost a year ago, Vath announced their tuning package for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Well, they’ve been continuing to work on the car’s performance since the Black Series was announced and have come up with the Vath V63 Black Series.

We get straight to the heart of the matter with the 6.2-litre V8, which has been tuned to produce a massive 556 kW and 800 Nm of torque. To achieve these figures Vath added a supercharger, remapped the ECU and fitted a bespoke air and water cooling systems for the engine and its ancillaries. The upgrades also include a stainless steel exhaust system, 20 mm lower suspension, and bigger 405 mm brake discs in front. The brake system can also be upgraded to braided steel hoses, while the wheels are 20-inch items with 255/30 and 295/25 profile rubber in the front and rear respectively.

The interior has been given a suitable sporty touch, with a leather trimmed steering wheel, carbon fibre accents on the dashboard and a new speedometer that ends at 400 km/h. In terms of outright performance, the V63 Black Series will sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.

Somewhat ironically, the V63 Black Series is dressed in white, but nonetheless, the matte paint is suitably contrast against black wheels and aerodynamic aids.

The cost of the Vath V63 package is €38 500, which is of course over and above the R1 425-million asking price of the C63 AMG Black Series.
