The new Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is an all-wheel drive, 265 kW and 450 Nm turbocharged super-hatch, built to compete with the rear-wheel drive BMW M135i and Audi RS3 Quattro. It’s hailed as having the highest power per litre figure of any current production engine at 132.5 kW per litre. To put this in perspective, the 431 km/h Bugatti Veyron Super Sport ‘only’ produces 110.3 kW per litre.
