Video: Sébastien Loeb Sets Spectacular New Pikes Peak Record

Sébastien Loeb has absolutely destroyed the previous 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb record. The 9-time WRC champion drove his 650 kW, all-wheel drive, Peugeot 208 T16 to the top of the 4 302m mountain in a time of 8 minute 13.878 seconds. The astonishing part is that Loeb’s time was over 1 minute 30 seconds faster than Rhys Millen’s 2012 record, and more than 45 seconds faster than Millen’s 2013 timed run. The Frenchman now adds the world record time for Pikes Peak to his considerable trophy cabinet. It’s just a pity the commentary and videography of Sebs run wasn’t as polished as his drive.
