The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG will make its public debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show next week, but in the meantime, Mercedes are showing their performer online.
The compact crossover is powered by the same ferocious 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder turbo’d engine that powers the all-wheel drive A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG hatchback and sedan. 265 kW and 450 Nm provide enough ‘go’ to launch the GLA 45 AMG from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 250 km/h. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission swaps cogs without delay, while Merc’s 4Matic all-wheel drive ensures maximum traction at all times.
