In this video we hear from the owner of a 2nd generation Renault Clio RS, or Clio 182, who tells us all the reasons why he is so enamoured with his French companion. Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, rolling along with a favourable power-to-weight ratio, not to mention a well sorted little chassis, the Clio RS 182 has all the makings of a cult classic.
When you consider too that the new Clio RS EDC is just 0.4 seconds faster from 0 – 100 km/h (6.7 vs. 7.1 seconds) and has a mere 6 km/h advantage when going flat out (230 km/h vs. 234 km/h), the appeal of the 182 and in deed the achievement of the Renault Sport engineers back in 2004, becomes all too clear.
