The 2015 Ford Mustang is an all-new pony car that’s earning plenty of attention ahead of its roll-out to global showrooms, including those in South Africa in 2015. However, Modern Muscle Design and American Muscle teamed up to produce something of a 433 kW aftermarket salute to the outgoing Mustang with the Project MMD, which they took to SEMA in Las Vegas.
The stock Ford Mustang GT produces 420 HP (309 kW) from its 5.0-litre V8, while the supercharged item in the Project MMD is boosted to 589 HP (433 kW). The Project MMD might forego the independent rear suspension of the 2015 Ford Mustang, but there are plenty of other modifications to the car’s running gear and bodywork to keep it sharp.
As an aside, the supercharged ‘Stang GT is being given away in a competition.
