Lexus revealed their vision of the perfect luxury coupe, the LF-LC, not too long ago and since then they have sculpted and crafted it into the perfect production model. It has been 5 years since, and Lexus is proud to introduce their new flagship coupe, the Lexus LC.

Lexus LC coming to South Africa 2017
The exterior of the LC is anything but ordinary, with a large portion of its styling genetics borrowed from the award-winning LF-LC concept. An active rear-spoiler and an optional carbon fibre roof hint at the LC’s performance nature, while the front headlights and grille communicate Lexus’ signature design language.
The LC500 will come with a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine lurking under the bonnet, capable of dishing out a maximum output of 351kW which will be fed to the rear wheels through a new close-ratio Direct Shift 10-speed automatic transmission. Sport suspension and 21-inch forged alloy wheels will ensure that the LC500 performs and handles like a true high-performance Grand Tourer.
There isn’t any word on an LC-F model just yet, however we can expect one in the next 2 to 3 years. Rumours suggest that it will use a completely new engine with a power figure on-par with the Germans in the 450kW region.
Production of the LC will take place at Lexus’ Motomachi plant in Japan, which happens to be home to production of the LFA supercar. The plants facilities and layout has been optimized for the production-run of the LC to ensure the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship.
The voluptuous LC500 will make its South African debut in the second-quarter of 2017.
