Mansory aren’t known for their subtle vehicle customisations, in fact, some projects have been rather eye-watering at times. The Mansory Carbonado Black Diamond isn’t one of them, however, and is a rather enticing version of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
In standard form the Aventador LP700-4 already uses carbon fibre extensively, but Mansory has replaced almost every exterior panel with the strong composite material showcasing its natural carbon fibre weave pattern. The car sports a wider track too, growing by 40 mm in front and 50 mm in the rear. Mansory has put a lot of effort into the ultra-light forged rims with carbon-fibre inlays. The wheels measure 20-inch in front and 21-inch at the rear, with tyres sizes of 255/30 ZR20 and 345/25 ZR21 respectively.

Thanks to an optimised engine management system and an high performance exhaust system, both engine power and acceleration are improved. The Carbonado produces 548 kW at 8 300 r/min and 750 Nm at 6 000 r/min. Acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h takes the V12-powered supercar just 2.8 seconds and top speed is 355 km/h.
The interior has not gone untouched either, with new leather for the seats, dashboard and a newly designed steering wheel. Mansory have also installed non-slip aluminium pedals and carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard.
Mansory hasn’t offered any pricing, which is another way of saying it’s bloody expensive. Just 6 Mansory Carbonados will be built.

Lamborghini has released full details of its new benchmark supercar, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. The car will make an official debut at the Geneva Motor Show later this evening.
As previously mentioned, the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 features an all new 6.5-litre V12 engine outputting 515 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque. Lamborghini says the LP700-4 will manage the 0-100km/h sprint in just 2.9 seconds. The engine will also provide a top speed of 350 km/h thanks to a new Independent Shifting Rod 7-speed dual-synchronise transmission.
The car features an all-new carbon fibre monocoque tub that makes up the central aspect of the chassis. Attached to this tub is a system of high-strength aluminium tubing which makes up the suspension fundamentals. The rear suspension also comprises of an all-new pushrod setup, using horizontal struts similar to a formula-class open-wheel race car. Almost all of the car has been engineered with one main goal; to be as lightweight as possible. Since the majority of the chassis is made from extremely light carbon fibre composite and the suspension components are made from aluminium, it has allowed the entire vehicle to weigh just 1 575 kg.

As per previous model Lamborghinis, the ’4? in the model name means it is all-wheel drive. Lamborghini has fitted a Haldex eletronic four-wheel drive system to the new Aventador which is capable of providing ultimate traction to each wheel. It also adjusts power distribution for optimum performance along the way. Additionally, the Aventador is also fitted with an electronic stability program (ESP) that sends power to the wheels with the most traction, accordingly. The rear differential is a self-locking type while the front differential is controlled via the ESP system.
Of course, the main attraction to the new Aventador is the all-new body styling. It features very sharp angles with a pointy front nose, mimicking the Lamborghini Reventon. The rear of the car presents a ‘cut-off’ design, complimented by huge heat-extraction vents below both tail lights. An aspect we haven’t seen in full detail is the interior. The Aventador interior showcases modern convenience matched with aggressive styling. There’s a centre LCD touch screen interface which provides occupants with controls to almost all of the in-car comfort and entertainment systems.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 price has been announced for international markets. The Lamborghini Aventador will be available from EUR255 000, with deliveries expected to begin midway through the year. South African pricing and availability is yet to be finalised.

Pictures of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 seem to be surfacing in rather quick succession. The most recent image reveals the Italian supercar’s profile that brings to mind both the Murcielago and the edgier-shaped Reventon. If you’re wondering how the rest of the car looks, you’ll have to wait until its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1. However, given the way things are going, we wouldn’t be surprised if we got an early unveil within the next couple of days.
In the meantime, you can begin building an image in your mind with the gallery we’ve complied below.
