Novitec is a German tuning company known for massaging more ponies from anything that rolls on four wheels and is produced in Italy. This time, the tuner has set its eyes on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback with the release of a comprehensive styling and performance package.
On the outside, Novitec’s goods include a subtle but attractive ground effects kit, although we’d like to have seen that rear diffuser in a more traditional matte or gloss black finish. The car’s looks are further enhanced with quad exhaust pipes, a choice of alloy wheel designs, in a gray or black finish, with sizes ranging from 18-inches to 20-inches and a sports suspension kit that lowers the ride height.

To improve the Giulietta’s performance, Novitec offers a variety of kits for both petrol and diesel engines. For example, the 1.4-litre TB petrol can be bumped up to 145 kW, while the flagship 1.8-litre TBi is pushed from 175 kW to 195 kW.

It may not be the best sports car Italy has to offer us right now, but Alfa Romeo’s 8C Spider is certainly a prime candidate for being one of the most beautiful out there. That said, even Novitec Rosso is smart enough to know that you don’t mess with a good thing with the German tuner focusing its attention on improving the Alfa’s mechanical hardware.
The highlight of Novitec Rosso’s performance package is hidden under the 8C Spider’s hood with the adoption of a modified version of the supercharger system used on the firm’s Maserati GT tune. A new water-to-air intercooler with a dedicated radiator, custom injectors, a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system and an ECU optimisation round off the changes to the 4.7-litre V8 engine. As a result of these upgrades, the V8 gains an additional 112 kW for a total output of 447 kW at 7 300 r/min, while peak torque is also lifted to 588 N.m at 5 400 r/min. Novitec Rosso says the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is reduced from 4.2 seconds to 3.9 seconds, while top speed increases from 290 km/h to 305 km/h.

The only exterior modification concerns the availability of new alloy wheel designs measuring 21-inches up front and 22-inches on the rear, shod in Pirelli tyres size 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22 respectively. Novitec also offers a height-adjustable threaded coil-over suspension and upon customer request, it can customise the Alfa 8C Spider’s interior with leather and Alcantara appointments.

Forget the 458 Italia and forget the Enzo supercar, for when it comes to Ferrari’s fastest ever road car the 599 GTO takes top honours. However, be that as it may, the Ferrari tuning gods at Novitec Rosso have seen fit to work over the limited edition supercar and boost its performance even further.
Taking the stock 599 GTO, which in standard guise produces 500 kW, Novitec Rosso’s engineers have managed to dial-up output to a stupendous 662 kW and 862 N.m of torque. The extra output is courtesy of a pair of high-performance superchargers, driven by a cogged V-belt and lubricated by a dedicated oil circuit. Maximum boost pressure, however, is limited to a relatively mild 0.4 bar. A large water-to-air intercooler is also fitted and features a dedicated water circuit, an essential piece for maximum power yield and healthy engine temperatures. The intake side of the engine is further modified with an intake manifold custom-developed for the V12 engine and features high-performance air filters and high-performance injectors. Additionally, Novitec Rosso has installed a high-flow stainless steel exhaust system with a Manettino button on the steering wheel that allows the driver to adjust the exhaust note. To make sure all the modifications work in harmony, a recalibrated ECU is also fitted.

The combination of a powerful engine, extremely fast shifting six-speed F1 transmission and the low weight of the 599 GTO (just 1 495 kilograms) results in exceptional performance – the car now sprints from rest to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and to 200 km/h in just 9.1 seconds. Top speed is more than 330 km/h. The modified 599 GTO also sports special forged wheels, which help to reduce unsprung weight. They are shod with Pirelli PZero tyres measuring 295/25 ZR 21 up front and 335/25 ZR 22 in the rear. Sports suspension springs have also been installed, and at the push of a button the driver can lift the front axle of the car by as much as 40 mm. Upon reaching a speed of 50 mph the suspension automatically reverts to its original position.
In case you were wondering, the silver paint with yellow cross stripe and white patches for the starting number is a hat tip to the Ferrari 250 GTO racing car with chassis-no. 4153. In it, the Belgians Lucien Bianchi and Georges Berger won the Tour de France in 1964.

Novitec Rosso has finally released their tuning program for the Ferrari 458 Italia, set for public debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
The high-performance program includes engine tuning that increases power output to 454 kW at 9 100 r/min. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 540 Nm to 569 Nm at 5 400 r/min, propelling the two-seater car to a top speed in excess of 330 km/h. Modifications under the bonnet inclued a new carbon-fibre airbox, a new exhaust system that is 21 kgs lighter than the standard system and which is made from the same Inconel material as used in Formula 1 racing.

Aerodynamics have been enhanced with a carbon fibre bodykit that has been developed using the University of Stuttgart’s wind tunnel. Modifications to the front of the 458 Italia include a new front spoiler that is fitted to the production bumper, as well as flaps to the right and left of the central air inlet to help reduce lift on the front axle thereby benefiting stability at high speeds. The sideskirts are designed to optimise airflow between the front and rear wheel wells. At the rear, the Novitec 458 Italia is equipped with a spoiler, a carbon fibre diffuser, ventilation louvers and the fog lamp surround. The roof panel of the car and the engine hood are also made from carbon.

The wheels are three-piece Novitec Rosso NF3 units, sized 255/30/ ZR21 in front and 335/25 ZR22 at the rear and are fitted with Pirelli PZero high-performance rubber. The sport springs lower the ride height of the Ferrari by some 35 mm. A hydraulic front lift system can raise the front of the car at the push of a button by up to 40 mm, eliminating problems posed by speed bumps or parking garage ramps. At a second push of the button, or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h, the front reverts to its original position.
Inside, the racey theme of the body kit is continued in the interior with a center console, scuff plates and longer shift paddles on the steering wheel, all made from carbon fibre.

We’ve seen our fair share of tuning packages for the Ferrari California, but we may have a new contender for the best of the bunch.
Dubbed the Race 606, the car features a front lip spoiler, a ventilated bonnet, an aggressive rear diffuser, and plenty of carbon fibre accents. Other goodies include a lowered sport suspension (which reduces the ride height by 35 mm), a hydraulic front lift system, and three-piece NF3 wheels with Pirelli PZero tyres.
Under the bonnet, the 4.3-litre V8 has been outfitted with a supercharger, an intercooler, a new intake manifold, larger fuel injectors, a revised ECU, and a high-performance exhaust system. Thanks to these tweaks, the engine produces 446 kW and 603 Nm of torque – an increase of 107 kW and 118 Nm. This enables the roadster to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 325 km/h.
No word on pricing, but the Novitec Rosso Race 606 will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

It takes a German to make an Italian stallion this wild. Novitec Rosso, the arm of the high end tuning firm that specializes in all things from Maranello, has just released a new customisation package for the 343 kW V8 powered Ferrari California.
Novitec leaves no aspect of the brand new retractable hard top sports coupe untouched, making modifications both inside and out, and they weren’t worried about getting a little grease under their fingernails because they also changed out the suspension in search of better handling.
But what’s the benefit of looking good and being able to take corners a little faster if you can’t blow past other California drivers on the straights, so the German engineers gave the front engine Ferrari a more aggressive engine tune as well.

The outside benefits from healthy heap of carbon fibre, with elements like a new front spoiler, side skirts and a new diffuser incorporated into the rear apron. The German tuner is offering the package with their three piece Novitec Rosso NF3 wheels, sized either 21 or 22 inches in diameter depending on how much you want to feel the road. Don’t worry about wheel gap because the car comes down by 35 mm at all four corners not only to improve handling but to give the new California the perfect stance. The Ferrari’s engine management software has been reprogrammed with custom mapping that optimises both injection and ignition increasing output to an even 373 kW and 517 N.m of torque when combined with the new stainless steel exhaust that allows the California to be heard.

German tuner Novitec Rosso, has released details about a new modified Ferrari 599 GTB that builds upon its previous version by adding a new forced-induction system. The new package consists of a subtle styling kit for increased downforce, as well as some mild handling upgrades and a supercharger kit.
The new developments increase power output of the car’s 6,0-litre V12 engine by 29 kW, up to 485 kW, without any alterations to the inner workings.
The conversion consists of new engine electronics and a complete Novitec Rosso stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system. The new engine management system comprises new mapping for ignition and injection, as well as increased maximum engine speed to 8 550 rpm.
Throttle response of the force-fed engine is said to be crisper with more power and torque coming in at lower revs. The higher redline speed also increases top speed to 332 km/h.
Also on offer is a new aero kit that consists of a new front lip, side skirts with larger air intake openings, side flaps, a new rear wing and a bumper with an integrated diffuser. The car also gets new 20-inch wheels at the front with larger 21-inch wheels at the rear and 355 mm Pirelli P Zeros. Other changes to the 599 include a KW Automotive adjustable aluminum suspension kit, as well as 405 mm brake discs with Brembo six piston calipers.

Alfa Romeo’s new MiTo is hardly a performance powerhouse, with the current range-topping model in the lineup boasting a diminutive 1.4-litre turbo engine until the performance-focused GTA arrives. Thankfully, German tuner Novitec Rosso is remedying the situation with a number of upgrades for the stylish hatch, with a focus on both performance and handling upgrades, as well as some aerodynamic mods.
Novitec is offering engine tuning for the two diesel models and the petrol-powered 1.4-litre turbo in the lineup. For the range-topping 1.4-litre engine, Novitec can install an auxiliary control unit in around 5 minutes, resulting in an almost instantaneous 23kW boost. This extra power gives the 1.4-litre MiTo a final power output of 134kW, enough to push the car to 100km/h in just 7.4 seconds, or around 0.7 seconds quicker than the standard model. For the two turbodiesels, a similar control unit is installed that boosts power by 15kW for the 1.3L JTD model and by 18kW for the MiTo 1.6L JTD, as well as increasing torque figures by close to 50Nm.
Additionally, a new height-adjustable coil-over suspension with adjustable dampers is also available, along with sport springs that can lower the car significantly. This results in improved handling and greater acceleration for the MiTo.
Accompanying the handling upgrades is a new look for the MiTo brought about by an aerodynamic enhancement kit. The front of the car gets a facelift thanks to the spoiler corners on the left and right, as well as the centrally mounted cup spoiler. At the back, rocker panels make the car appear lower, while a roof spoiler and a rear diffuser both help to improve downforce.
The rear diffuser surrounds the new Novitec sports muffler, which yields a more exciting growl when the engine is wound up, and the system can be combined with one, two, or four tailpipes. New Novitec alloy wheels top off the package, and high-performance Pirelli tires ensure the car should stay glued to the road.
