Porsche has just released details and images of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RSR race car. It features new aerodynamics, some more power and even more on-track potential.
It looks simply awesome this new RSR. Every little detail amplifies the car’s presence. From the intricately-styled rear bumper vents to the fat-as-hell pumped guards front and rear, every aspect of the car is there as a high-priority. The key revisions to the new car include a reshaped front end for more downforce at high speed, incorporating a steeper front lip extension off the bumper bar. The car’s front wheels are also widened from 279 mm (11-inch) to 308 mm (12-inch) to provide even more face-distorting grip.
The rear end is given even more treatment in the aid of improving downforce. There’s now a huge deck wing with added vents to push the back of the car hard into the ground under high-speed braking and cornering. The rear bumper also includes more air-extracting vents to help suck the rear of the car down to the ground.
Pushing the new RSR along is a revised 4.0-litre flat-six engine which now outputs 335 kW of power and 450 Nm of torque thanks to ECU, air intake and exhaust enhancements.
