Nissan Juke ‘Tzunamee’ By Senner Tuning

Posted on 10 May 2012 by SACarFan

We’ve all heard about the Nissan Juke-R, but if you can’t afford the €450 000 price tag, then perhaps Senner Tuning’s candy-red ‘Tzunamee’ is a better option.

Jointly developed with Autohaus Morchel, the package includes 35 mm lower springs, carbon fibre mirror caps and 20-inch alloy wheels with candy-red accents.

As standard, the Juke’s turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol motor develops 141 kW and 240 Nm of torque, but Senner has given it a boost to 165 kW and 275 Nm. They achieved this by remapping the ECU, altering the electronic throttle, installing a sports air filter and giving the car a new stainless steel exhaust system with quad tips at the back.

The Senner Tzunamee is priced from €32 730, which includes the €7 490 worth of tuning and accessories.

Senner Audi A7 3.0 TDI

Posted on 30 July 2011 by SACarFan

Senner Tuning recently launched a new power upgrade for the Audi A7 3.0 TDI Sportback.

The factory version of the A7 3.0 TDI has an output of 180 kW and 500 Nm of torque, which is quite enough for most drivers. However, if you want more power from your A7, Senner can boost those figures to 225 kW and 620 Nm of torque. Senner will also remove the top speed limiter of the A7, letting it run all the way to 280 km/h. The extra muscle from the tuned diesel is bound to improved the car’s 0 – 100 km/h sprint time, although Senner have not released a figure just yet.

Apart from working under the bonnet, Senner have also given their A7 a new stainless-steel exhausting system with two 90 mm tailpipes, 20-inch Varianza T1S wheels, as well as a 30 mm lower ride height.

Senner Audi A1 1.4 TFSI

Posted on 17 June 2011 by SACarFan

German tuning firm Senner has a new solution for anyone looking to upgrade their desperately plain Audi A1 supermini.

The tune starts with the A1’s 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine, which normally produces 90 kW and 200 N.m of peak torque. A custom-tailored ECU along with a sports exhaust system bumps those figures to 121 kW and 265 N.m. The engine tune is complemented by an adjustable sports suspension from KW.

For the baby Audi’s exterior, Senner Tuning chose a brown metallic hue, contrast against white accents on the mirrors, roof arches, side sills and the massive Barracuda Tzunamee 19-inch alloy wheels, which are wrapped in 225/35 R19 rubber. The package also includes a re-sprayed front grille in glossy black, along with a new front apron, side skirts and a modified rear bumper that houses a diffuser and two exhaust outlets. Inside, the A1 features sports seats trimmed in two-tone fabrics with matching floor mats and an upgraded infotainment system.

Senner Tuning offers the A1 as a complete car priced at, wait for it, €36 590, or around R370 000, which is R135 000 more than the standard car.

Senner Tuning’s Audi RS5

Posted on 29 December 2010 by Scott Hayes

Senner Tuning AG have unveiled a subtle tuning kit for the recently released Audi RS5.

A Bilstein coilover kit, called B16 PSS10, has been added. It allows for 10-stage adjustable damping in both the compression and rebound cycles. The car is wearing two sets of rims too, for demonstration purposes, Spider SC1’s on the drivers side and Varianza T1S on the passenger side. Both sets of rims measure 20-inch at the front and rear.

By way of performance tuning, Senner have increased the power outputs to 372 kW and 478 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100km/h is done in 4.2 seconds. Maximum speed has been increased to 280 km/h and it’s possible to reach 300 km/h with a different set of tyres. The power increases have been achieved with a new exhaust system.

The mirrors have been finished in shiny black carbon fabric, a new front grille and window frames have also been added. Optional carbon fibre and custom leather trim are also available on request. The complete car costs €113 900 (R1 025 000), or to purchase the kit by itself costs €18 900 (R170 000).

Senner Tuning For Mercedes ML 500

Posted on 21 October 2010 by Scott Hayes

Senner Tuning AG have unveiled their new package for the Mercedes-Benz ML 500 4-Matic. The whole package is aimed at providing owners with a ‘decent’ winter car.

The German tuner has optimised the engine management system and released a total of 303 kW in the process with an increased torque curve reaching 560 Nm. A stainless-steel sport exhaust system with trapezoidal tailpipes has been specially designed.

AMG fender flares have been retrofitted, they’re big enough to fit 22-inch alloy wheels. Corniche “Monza” alloy rims have been used in size 10×22 inch, high-performance winter tyres from Vredestein’s “Wintrac Xtreme” range have been fitted in the dimension 295/30 R22. Wheel spacers on the front and rear axles make the car slightly wider. Adjustable sway bar links and an Electronic lowering module for the air suspension further increase handling.

Total costs for the kit, depending on the tyre choice, start from €9 800 (roughly R95 000). Senner also offer an extensive paint treatment, which includes hand washing with special paint sealant and rim-preservant for the winter.

Serious Attitude For The Audi A5 Cabriolet

Posted on 08 September 2010 by Scott Hayes

This is German tuner Senner Tuning’s individualisation package for the current Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet models. The performance of the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine has been increased to 202 kW and 430 Nm with the use of sports air filters, a re-calibrated ECU and stainless-steel sports exhaust system with quad tail-pipes.

Customers can chose between two different styles of 20-inch wheel. Both styles are chrome-plated and are fitted with 245/30 profile rubber up front and 295/25 profile rubber at the rear.

Senner Tuning has also revised the A5 Cabriolet’s bodywork. The front bumper borrows styling cues from the Audi RS6 sedan, while the front grille and side mirrors are reportedly based on those of the new Audi RS5. A customer rear valance and diffuser has been fitted to the rear of the car.

On the inside you will find lashings of carbon fibre trim, on the S-Line sports steering wheel, around the centre console, as well as on the door panels. Senner also offer a remote function for opening and closing the fabric roof.
