Volvo have introduced a number of updates to their model range, including new safety features, new styling options and an entry-level version of its diesel engine.
Variants of the Volvo S60, V60, V70 and S80 that will be produced from May onwards, will benefit from a new 2.0-litre five-cylinder diesel engine named D3. The new engine produces 100 kW of power, 350 Nm of torque and returns fuel consumption as low as 4.3 L/100km in the S60 an S80 sedans. The current D3 engine, a 120 kW / 400 Nm 2.0-litre five-cylinder diesel, which will be rebadged D4 under the new naming structure.
Other upgrades to be introduced, include a Road Sign Information system, Tunnel Detection and Active High Beam. New five-spoke 18-inch forged aluminium wheels will be offered with the S60, V60, V70 and S80, and the V70 and S80 models receive updated versions of the existing 17-inch ‘Saga’ wheel design. The V70 will also get an updated grille with gloss-black highlights, while the S60 and V60 will feature new brushed-aluminium trim options.
