It’s a little under-powered compared to the Brabus G63 AMG we featured last week, but considering the G-Class is being launched in South Africa today, these two tuned versions of the go-anywhere icon are about as well timed as they can get.
Unlike the G63 from Brabus, which has its focus centered on the bi-turbo V8 engine tuned to 456 kW, the G55 from Office-K is all about styling. The interior is fitted with accessories from Mansory. Items include various cabron fibre inlays on the doors and dashboard, as well as on the steering wheel and gearshift lever.
The list of changes is extensive both inside and out. A ‘Black Bison’ body kit from Wald International has been fitted, which includes a new front bumper, rear bumper, headlight covers, rear door panel, over fender, and carbon fiber bonnet. The wheels are massive 24-inch items, sourced from US-based Forgiato, known as ‘Enzo Concave’. Rounding out the exterior mods are black surrounds inside the headlights together with a custom HID and LED light package.
