Charlize Theron is the villain in Fast 8
South African actress Charlize Theron will play the villain in the eighth installment of Fast and the Furious. Fast 8 will be her second car movie over a short space; you may remember her role in Mad Max – lately the actress seems drawn to movies founded on meagre storylines and over the top action sequences.
But there is hope because Gary Gray will be directing the film and the last time these two worked together they pulled off a successful remake of The Italian Job.
A Twitter post from @fastandfurious reads “Our crew will face its greatest adversary in our next film. Welcome Charlize Theron to the Fast family. 4.14.17.” The last part reveals its April 14th 2017 opening at cinemas.
With more than a year of filmmaking lying ahead, we don’t know much else other than Charlize is billed as the film’s only villain while Jason Statham will resume his role as Deckard Shaw. Sources suggest the latest instalment will be filmed in New York.
