Volvo S90 R-Design is outrageously sexy

Swedish carmaker Volvo has yet again revealed a performance-inspired R-Design version of the new S90. This comes days after Volvo introduced a Polestar Performance Software for its XC90 T8.

Central to the Volvo S90 R-Design is an advanced sports chassis which provides a spirited, road-hugging drive. According to Björn Annwall, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service at Volvo Cars, the R-Design delivers an extra edge to the elegant new 90-series sedan, with a winning combination of a sportier, more responsive drive with clearly visible performance styling.

The flagship model gets a sporty new front-end design with spoiler-integrated fog lights, the R-Design model comes with a unique grille and extended piano black trim both front and rear. New 5-spoke matt black diamond-cut wheels add to the performance feel.

A wide range of styling cues are included on the inside, from unique décor trim, pedals and floor mats, to the sporty contour seats and special steering wheel, including a high level interior illumination package that radiates attention to detail.

S90 R-Design derivatives of the new Volvo S90 range will be available in South Africa in 2017, following the local launch of the new S90 (hopefully) later this year.
