Pirelli tests wider tyres for 2017 F1 season

Pirelli is busy testing its bigger and wider rubber set to be introduced for the 2017. Sebastian Vettel tested the new tyres, aimed at improving lap time through mechanical grip, in his 2015-spec Ferrari.

The wheel size remains at 13 inches in diameter but the tires now measure a massive 305/670 at the front and 405/670 at the rear. That compares to 245/660 and 325/660 front and rear, respectively, at present.
