The Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon (SW) is the third body style for the firm’s compact family car. It joins the saloon and hatchback, and will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
At 4 678 mm, the estate is 81 mm longer than the saloon, 168 mm longer than the hatch and it offers a maximum of 1 500-litres of boot space with its rear seats folded flat. Roof rails come as standard, too. The Cruze SW is powered by an all-new 95 kW 1.7-litre diesel. It comes with stop-start and has CO2 emissions of 119 g/km.
GM said that the introduction of the Cruze Wagon also brings a number of exterior and interior enhancements in 2012 for the sedan and hatchback variants. These include a tweaked front fascia, modified headlights and fog lamps, as well as new alloy wheels. Inside, the updates include refinements to the centre console and a larger choice of seat finishes for the cabin.
We’ll have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show to find out when the Cruze SW will go on sale in Europe and if GM has any plans to offer it in other markets around the world.
