Special edition Renault Kadjar XP is now priced right
Renault has announced the addition of a limited edition Kadjar to its South African range. The car, named the Kadjar XP Limited Edition, features a 96kW 1.2L turbo petrol engine- a derivative of the engine found in the Kadjar Expression. Torque is quoted at 205Nm at 2000 RPM and fuel consumption is rated at a respectable 5.7L/100km (in combined NEDC cycle).
Despite being priced at the same R364 900 as the model on which it’s based, the Kadjar XP Limited Edition comes with a variety of extras which Renault SA say are worth R40 000. The accessories include cornering fog-lamps, a “swan neck” tow bar kit, side-steps, roof-racks and 17 inch alloy wheels.
Side steps up to that 200mm of ground clearance and 370L of boot space will ensure the Kadjar is usable off-road and, to quote Renault, will ”encourages its drivers to get out there and experience all the XP action and adventure that life has to offer them.”
Of course, you’ll also find all the usual driver aids and safety features we’ve come to expect from Renault, such as ABS, Emergency Brake Assist and an Electronic Stability Programme (amongst others) that help the Kadjar achieve its 5 star Euro NCAP rating.
A limited number of units will be available; 50 units to start with another 50 in the pipeline. If the exchange rate allows, Renault could continue to sell the XP indefinitely, which would leave Renault with no reason to reserve showroom space for the standard model..
The Kadjar XP Limited Edition (as with other Kadjar models) comes standard with a 5-year/150 000km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Also standard is a 5-year/90 000km service plan.
