Minor update for 2018 Peugeot 208 GT-Line
Peugeot has revealed the new Peugeot 208 GT-Line, freshly improved for 2018. Headline features include new headlights, complemented by black and chrome details, as well as daytime running LED’s and new fog lamps, all working together to give the face of the 208 GT-Line a sportier look.
New bumpers make it to the front and rear. The new grille uses red-details and materials like chrome to create a 3D effect and the taillights retain their signature ‘claws’, familiar to the 208. Lightweight 17” alloy wheels complete the GT-line’s exterior.
The interior echoes the GT-Lines sporty feel with sports seats finished with contrasting stitching, red-detailed seatbelts and a leather multifunction steering-wheel reminding the driver that their driving a top-of-the-range model. Lightweight aluminium is found on the pedals and door sills giving the hatch a premium touch.
The latest i-Cockpit system finds its way onto a 7”-screen on the dashboard, complete with ambient lighting, Bluetooth, USB connectivity and Apple CarPlay. Other interesting tech includes automatic-headlights, rain-sensing wipers and dual-zone climate control.
Under the bonnet lies a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, producing 81kW of power and 205Nm of torque. Top speed is limited to 190km/h and acceleration from 0-100km/h happens in 9.6-seconds. The 208 GT-Line boasts a claimed consumption of 4.5-litres/100km, emitting 104 g/km of CO2.
