VW Tiguan Gets Bigger: Tiguan Allspace

The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is the latest model to join the impressive Tiguan family. The Allspace gains two additional seats, making it an attractive option for buyers who require a bit of extra room.

The new model is 215mm longer than the regular Tiguan, attributing most of this gain to the 110mm extension of its wheelbase. This allows the Allspace to accommodate two extra passengers with ease. The boot capacity also receives a 115-litre bump over the regular model thanks to the new dimensions.

Aside from the new measurements and extra-seats, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is the same Tiguan we’ve come to love over the past few months. Standard kit on the SUV include LED daytime runners, the Light and Visibility Package which includes auto dimming mirrors, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights and high beam assist. Privacy glass on the rear and side mirrors are also standard, as well as chrome exhaust tailpipes and front underbody protection finished in granite grey.

The popular R-Line Pack is also available as an option on the higher-spec Comfortline and Highline models. The styling pack give the Tiguan a more aggressive look thanks to its lowered sports suspension, colour-coded front and rear bumpers as well as side-skirts and a huge gloss black front air intake. There are also different wheels available on the Comfortline and Highline in the form of 19-inch and 20-inch alloys respectively.

The new model is available with four engine options. Three TSI petrol engines, producing 110kW, 132kW and 162kW, and a TDI diesel engine that’s good for 110kW.
